scar tissue therapy
Whether caused by surgery or injury, scars leave more than a mark; they often lead to pain, congestion, unpleasant sensations or numbness, to name a few consequences. Using the internationally-recognised McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release (MSTR) therapy, symptoms may be reduced or removed by remodelling the damaged tissue lying beneath a scar.
Any scar can be treated, including scars related to C-section, hysterectomy or mastectomy, amputations, burns, knife or bullet wounds or self harm. In some cases, hard to treat aches and pains in the body can be treated through a scar found elsewhere on the body.
Scar Tissue Therapy is a gentle technique with improvements often observed from the first session. The number of treatments needed vary; results can typically be achieved in two to six treatments. MSTR is not always suitable and should be avoided if there is surgical mesh or a cancer tumour located beneath the scar. Scars need to be more than six weeks old and fully healed.
